Examining the Relationship of Simulation to Nursing Communication Competency: A Quantitative, Causal-Comparative, Retrospective Study

  • Are you a Registered Nurse (RN) who has graduated from an accredited nursing program within the last four years?
    • Did you obtain initial RN licensure from a U.S. state board of nursing within the last four years?
    • Are you at least 18 years of age or older?

If you answered yes to each of the questions listed above, you are eligible to participate in an important nursing research study. This research study investigates the relationship between simulation-based education and the communication competency of recently graduated nurses.

Participants will complete and submit an anonymous online survey questionnaire to collect basic demographic information and responses to assess nursing communication competencies. It should take approximately 10 minutes to complete the questionnaire. Participation is anonymous, and no personal identifying information will be collected. To complete this 10-15 minute survey, please use the direct link below or scan the QR Code on your mobile app.

A study information sheet is provided on the first page of the survey. After you have read the information sheet, you may proceed to the questionnaire portion of the survey. Doing so will indicate that you have read and understood the study information and would like to participate.

Patresha Pearson, a doctoral candidate in the School of Education at Liberty University, is the PI conducting this study.
